Investing in our Youth, Strengthening the Ummah

At the Islamic Center of Wheaton (ICW), our youth are not just part of the community — they are its future. We see in them the potential to lead with faith, serve with compassion, and carry the light of Islam into every walk of life. The Generation of Change initiative was created to fulfill that vision — to help our young generation grow academically, spiritually, and socially, preparing them to become confident and purpose-driven leaders.

This vision stands on four foundational pillars that shape our mission:

• Full-Time Islamic School — empowering students to pursue academic excellence while remaining deeply rooted in Islamic values.
• Spiritual Growth & Guidance — nurturing the soul through Qur’an study, reflection, and mentorship programs that strengthen faith, character, and purpose.
• Youth Center — fostering physical well-being, mental resilience, and lifelong friendships, creating a safe and uplifting “third place” for our youth to belong.
• Young Professionals — ICW continues to serve as a center of faith and a center of family for young adults as they build their careers, form families, and seek balance between their professional and spiritual growth. It’s a place where belonging continues beyond youth — where the next generation finds purpose, identity, and community rooted in Islam.
